Apply proportional brushing to your charts instead of filtering | Tableau Charts

Proportional brushing in Tableau is an effect that allows you to highlight related data points in multiple views within a dashboard. This means that when you select a data point in one view, all other related data points in other views are also highlighted, proportionally to their relationship with the selected data point. It's achieved by using set actions  and animations to achieve a subtle storytelling effect that keeps the context of your full data set.
